We will bath your dog using our specialty flea shampoo. This is left on your dog for 10 minutes and will kill any adult fleas on your dog. This service is to protect other dogs in the salon as well. We will charge you extra for this service due to the cost of our products and the extra time and care taken. Please see “Help, my dog has fleas” resource document on our website for more information.
No. If your dog requires sedation, we firmly believe your dog should be groomed by your veterinarian.
We suggest you wait until all vaccinations have been given which is about 4 months old. Until then, daily brushing or combing your puppy at home, as well as handling their feet, ears and face is recommended to get them accustomed to the grooming process.
Yes, however, aside from being quite expensive, extensive de-matting can be extremely painful. We feel the best solution is to clip the coat completely and start again with regular brushing at home between grooms.
Yes, please call ahead especially for upcoming holidays.
Sorry no. Dogs are easily distracted especially when their owners are present and grooming your dog requires their full attention. Please see “A day at the grooming salon” on our website for additional information.
We will groom rabbits, guinea pigs and some cats. We can help with matted rabbits and their nails. We can trim pocket pets nails. We will groom a well behaved cat using only brushing, clipping, and scissoring techniques. We do not bath cats.
Early and late drop offs and pick ups are surcharged. (Before open at 8:30am and after 8pm)
It depends on how aggressive your dog is and whether or not he/she will accept a muzzle. Every dog is different and we will do our best to get the job done but we will not put ourselves or your pet at risk. Please see “Things to tell your groomer” resource document on our website.
We accept Cash, Cheque, E-Transfer, Credit, Debit Tap and PayPal.
As of January 1st, we only provide Daycare services for pets we groom. Daycare can be added to a groom for an additional charge to assist with pick up and drop off times.
We are open Saturdays by appointment only, please call ahead to inquire.
It is best to give us as much notice as possible that way your spot can be filled to avoid a cancellation fee.
Cancellation fees are applied for notice under 24 hours.
Yes, we do provide de-skunking baths for an extra charge due to the cost of our products and the extra time it takes.
This depends on what is being done but generally, a typical groom (not a bath only) will take approximately 3 hours depending on your dog’s coat length/condition, behavior and size. It is always better to take a little longer than to rush through a groom! Please see “A Day at the grooming salon” for additional information on our website.
Absolutely – it is encouraged so we can reward your dog for their good behavior! We also have homemade nutritional treats available for purchase at our salon.
Yes we require a copy of your dog’s vaccination records. This precaution is to protect your pets.
